Trees, Water & People is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 1998 by Stuart Conway and Richard Fox, and is staffed by a group of dedicated conservationists who feel strongly about helping communities protect, conserve, and manage the natural resources upon which their long-term well-being depends.
Trees, Water & People provides carbon offsets via our projects in Guatemala and El Salvador. Our reforestation project beneficiaries plant
carbon-sequestering trees to supply their families' needs for fruit and furniture. Our stove project beneficiaries receive a fuel-efficient Justa cookstove to reduce their use of firewood by 50-70% relative to traditional
open cookstoves. This significantly reduces the families' greenhouse gas emissions.
